Based on the box-style canoe portage packs favored by northwoods timber cruisers, this pack is the perfect size for an ash basket. Works well whenever crush-resistance is desirable: use it for your food pack, but it'll work for anything that needs solid protection. Flap-covered side pockets are provided for your spotting scope, water bottle, backgammon game or lunch while the rest of your kit keeps well protected in the main compartment.

Features include: tough 18 ounce wax canvas construction, adjustable padded leather back straps, tumpline and internal map pocket. A 20" Ash Basket fits snugly inside, and has its own shoulder harness: use the basket alone for a tremendous blueberry harvest! Comes standard with two roomy side pockets. Brass buckle closures keep all your goods secure. This is a box-style pack with a double canvas bottom.
